Emails and branding

Keep the right people informed without anyone having to log in — in CloudLens branding, or your own on Pro.

Weekly summary

In Settings → General, add recipients and turn on the weekly summary: health score, spend, fixes this month and the top five things to do. Recipients don’t need a CloudLens account, and the same people get alerts. Each email has its own unsubscribe link that works without signing in. Use Send a test now to see it immediately (up to three a day).

Alerts

  • An unusual day of spending
  • A new critical security issue
  • A budget forecast to be exceeded (at most once a month)
  • An agent that stops responding, a data source that starts failing, and when it recovers

Monthly update

Early each month, owners and admins get a short update: how your organization used CloudLens last month (connections reporting, actions marked fixed, summaries and alerts sent), what’s new in CloudLens, and a few notable updates from Azure, AWS and Google Cloud, picked from their public announcements with links to the source. Anyone can unsubscribe from it with the link in the email, without affecting the weekly summary or alerts. An owner or admin can switch it off for everyone in Settings → General.

Account emails

Owners also get a few emails about the account itself: a welcome, a reminder if nothing is connected after two days, a note when the first results are ready, and emails about free access, a trial ending, a payment that didn’t go through, or a subscription that ended. These always come from CloudLens, and replies reach a person.

Your own branding (Pro)

In Settings → Branding, switch on Use my branding and set your company name, logo (PNG or JPEG under 200 KB), colour and reply-to address. Weekly summaries, alerts and the monthly report then show your brand; the sender name becomes your company name and replies go to your address. A small “Powered by CloudLens” line stays in the footer. A live preview shows the result as you go.

What emails contain

Totals, scores and action titles only — never resource names. Alerts say what happened and on which connection; the details are in CloudLens. The monthly update and account emails contain nothing from your cloud at all.
